The Deployment Health Clinical Center, Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury, the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center and the National Center for Telehealth & Technology are responsible for informing, integrating and evaluating psychological health and traumatic brain injury practices and policies across the services.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a leader in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. Begun in 2000 and established as an independent not-for-profit organization in 2003, the Fund has provided nearly $200 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. These efforts are funded entirely with donations from the public, and hundreds of thousands of individuals have contributed to the Fund.

VHA Social WorkSocial work services are an integral part of your overall health care. Social Workers are available to assist you in a variety of settings to include the primary care clinic, during hospitalization, at Emergency Department visits, in mental health and rehabilitation units, and upon enrollment in specialty medical programs to name a few. We want to assist you, your family members, and Caregivers in resolving housing, finance, mood, relationship, and physical limitation issues in individual, group, or family treatment, whichever suits your needs. We work with both VHA and community programs, linking you to resources and services in support of your treatment goals.
