This past fall, NASW submitted comments to the Administration for Community Living in response to the federal Strategic Framework for a National Plan on Aging (bit.ly/NASW- AgingPlan24). Developed by a committee of 16 federal agencies and departments with input from community partners (including NASW) and leaders in the aging services network, the strategic framework laid the groundwork for a coordinated effort—across the private and public sectors and in partnership with older adults, family caregivers, the aging services network, and other stakeholders—to create a national set of recommendations for advancing age-inclusive communities and well-being for all of us as we age.
