NASW CEO Anthony Estreet, PhD, MBA, LCSW-C, posted a video addressing the wildfires that engulfed the Los Angeles area. He joined Social Workers Unite: Responding to the Los Angeles Fires, an online town hall hosted by the NASW California Chapter.

“On behalf of the entire association, I want to express my sympathies and support to all individuals and families impacted by the devasting wildfires,” Estreet said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with you. As wildfires continue to impact the communities of LA, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the social workers on the ground for your unwavering dedication to those in need during these challenging times. Your work is critical, providing hope and support to individuals and families navigating the unimaginable loss and uncertainty.”

Estreet added that the NASW California Chapter is mobilizing efforts to ensure that resources and support reach those in need.
