Madison365, a nonprofit online news outlet in Madison, Wis., selected Stephanie Lozano, MSW, CSW, the tribal liaison for the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, as one of Wisconsin’s Most Influential Native American Leaders of 2024.
Since joining the department in 2016, Lozano has worked to strengthen the intergovernmental relationships between the department and the 11 sovereign tribes that are headquartered in Wisconsin through direct consultation, technical assistance, and coordinated support services.
“It is an honor and privilege to be recognized for my service and contributions to the state of Wisconsin and Tribal Nations, Lozano said.
