LA25PDW38: Ethical Caregiving for Dementia Patients.  The presentation will focus on the following four ethical standards in relation to providing care to individuals diagnosed with dementia: Dignity and Worth of the Person, Importance of Human Relationships, Integrity, and Competence. Contents of the presentation will cover ethical issues that may need to be addressed in various practice settings including long-term care facilities, senior centers, home health, and hospice care.  Presented by:  Dr. Anita Sharma, LCSW.  Member $50 /  Nonmember $85.  3.00 Ethical CEU. Pre-registration is required to be awarded CEU credit.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing and received  three days prior to the workshop.  An administrative fee of $15 will be deducted from the reimbursement.



Presenter Bio

Dr. Anita Sharma, LCSW is a Professor and the Founding Director of the GERO Institute at ULM. She is the Joseph A. Biedenharn Chair in Gerontology. Dr. Sharma has written several books, manuals, and peer-reviewed scholarly articles relating to Social Work and Gerontology. She has been awarded 33 funded grants and has created four annual conferences for professional development. Dr. Sharma has presented more than 200 peer-reviewed papers, workshops, and community lectures.
