This workshop will introduce the ethical concerns around self- care, and the universality of vicarious traumatization, compassion/empathy fatigue, and burnout.

9-11 a.m.

This workshop will help participants identify the issues that matter most to them; determine where they have leverage or power and where their participation is most likely to achieve results; build upon a critical, realistic understanding of the challenges to political and policy change; and start to design a practicable plan for action.

9:30-11:30 a.m.

This workshop will review the new regulations and outline the specific actions that should be made by your practice to comply with the changes. The session will include time for a questions and answer period.

6 p.m.

This session will introduce attendees to First Book, the nonprofit social enterprise focused on removing the barriers to learning for kids in need.

9:30-11:30 a.m.

The conversation will include specific terminology, will touch on various state and national policies and laws, and will review what communities and individuals can do to get involved and support the human animal bond.
