This session will help identify and explore the many ways black and brown people have been harmed in both explicit and insidious ways. The harm has resulted in generations of psychological, emotional and physiological turmoil. To help mitigate the hurt done, we will investigate healing practices that social workers can implement to help reduce harm, restore and heal black and brown folks in toxic environments.

Join us for this two-day live-streamed program addressing social work’s pivotal role in improving health, covering topics such as equity and addressing disparities in care, telehealth, integrated care, behavioral health, and much more.

This workshop will allow participants to navigate controversial and challenging ethical dilemmas encountered in the Emergency Department.

The webinar will feature brief remarks from NASW organizational leaders, first-hand testimony from social workers about their struggles with student debt, and the opportunity for participants to ask questions. The webinar is taking place on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 6:00-7:00pm Eastern Time, and we are excited to invite you to attend and help amplify with social workers!
