Clinical Supervision is an advanced practice skill that requires additional knowledge, expertise, and understanding for mental health clinicians. A developmental model that addresses adult learning needs and offers an integration of ways of teaching clinical practice will be utilized. Supervisory methods & techniques will be discussed & practiced. Ethical issues unique to the supervisory relationship will be addressed.

This webinar will explore cutting-edge ethical issues arising out of social workers' growing use of digital technology, online interventions, and social media to deliver services, communicate with clients, search online for information about clients, and store sensitive information in electronic behavioral health records.

This workshop will provide a review of the ethical mandates in the NASW Code of Ethics, and a generic algorithm for resolving ethical dilemmas. Beyond that, we will use case studies to illustrate the ethical challenges of the pandemic, the current political ferment, and ever-changing technologies. We will particularly consider the ways that the pandemic has impacted on the use of these new technologies.
