This webinar will focus on the effects of the legalization of cannabis in most states. It will also cover recent research in alcohol and the psychology of abusive and addictive behavior. There will be a discussion on the treatments of substance abuse, recovery programs and support groups in our communities.

Objectives:

  • Assist social workers in learning recent trends of the most commonly abused substances, cannabis and alcohol.
  • Assist social workers to understand the psychology behind addictive behavior.
  • Guides on how to treat and assist individuals with addictive behavior with an emphasis on alcohol use disorder and cannabis use disorder.
