3 Formal CEs approved by NASW VT

NASW Vermont Chapter is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0683.

This comprehensive three-hour workshop delves into the reemerging field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies. Participants will explore the rich history and cultural context of psychedelics used for healing. The presenter will emphasize the crucial role of the therapeutic process, including proper preparation, the medicine phase, and integration. Discussions will address the differences between therapeutic and recreational use of psychedelics. The workshop will also cover the neuroscience behind psychedelics and their effects on neural plasticity. Supported by robust research and case studies, this session aims to provide a balanced view of the potential and limitations of these therapies.
