Acts of mass violence, including mass shootings, are occurring at an alarming rate in the United States, causing tremendous upheaval and pain.

Join us as we identify the tools needed in the first few days following an event and in the long-term, in micro, mezzo and macro settings. We will develop professional tools and self-care strategies.

Learning objectives:
  • Understand mass violence and statistics the past 25 years
  • Identify stages of grief & anxiety associated with mass violence
  • Identify critical incident response with trauma-specific care for victims, families, first-responders and the community-at-large
  • Learn self-care strategies
