Mental Health Access in Schools

The pandemic has not created mental health disparities within the youth population, it has exacerbated these disparities. It is imperative that we stop this trend.⁠ ⁠ New York State legislators have been fighting for years to pass a bill that will ensure that all elementary, intermediate, middle, junior, and senior high schools throughout New York State have a full-time licensed social worker and a full-time licensed psychologist on staff to meet the needs of their students.⁠
