As social workers, it is imperative that we learn as much as we can about these individuals and advocate for them to the best of our ability. This training will help social workers have a basic understanding of transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse individuals, best practice for working with these individuals, and we will discuss common myths that are being spread in our society currently. This training will also give a basic understanding of ways that social workers can advocate for these individuals on a micro and macro level.
