She earned her MSW from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis and her BSW at Xavier University. She has worked with the Red Cross since 2015 and has focused her expertise in the recovery phases of disaster response, including the services of casework, disaster mental health, health services, and spiritual care. She serves in a local capacity but also deploys to assist larger disasters including the Marshall Fire in Colorado and Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
