Event date: 10/21/2021 Export event Mark Wills / Wednesday, September 22, 2021 / Categories: Uncategorized Jewish Social Workers Special Interest Group: Preliminary Interest Meeting NASW New York State 6-7 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to inform the development of a permanent Jewish Social Workers special interest group that will: explore anti-Semitism in social work schools and practice; develop strategies for counteracting anti-Semitism, including assuring that social work curriculum specifically address anti-Semitism in their courses; and provide Jewish social workers with a "safe space" in which to voice their concerns and experiences. ALL Jewish social workers are invited to join the preliminary meeting to have your voice heard on what events, resources, and support systems can be developed by this special interest group. Membership is not required, and you do not need to live in New York State. It is crucial that any services created for a community is led by that community.
