Dr. Sconiers (Dr. S) utilizes Knowledge, Music, Videos, and Thought Provoking Discussion to help Social Workers and Change Agents explore how Hip-Hop Culture can be a powerful tool for Wellness and Healing. Objectives: The following learning objectives will be the focus of the Mental-Hop Experience for participants. Participants learn how Hip-Hop Culture can be utilized to Engage people in regards to Mental-Health/Wellness in order to decrease Stigma & Shame around the topic. Participants will learn specific approaches and strategies to utilize Hip-Hop Culture to Educate people about Mental-Health/Wellness and its importance to their overall functioning. Participants will learn specific approaches and strategies to utilize Hip-Hop Culture as an Empowerment Tool for Healing and Wellness.
