Mavis Major, PhD, LCSW, CCM

Mavis Major, Ph.D, LCSW, CCM, is a social work educator and practitioner. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in behavioral health, health care, case management and clinical practice. She obtained her MSW from San Diego State University and her Ph.D. in Human Services from Walden University. Major is contributing faculty at Walden University, Touro University, UMASS Global, School of Social Work. Major is a Behavioral Health Therapist for Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV, where she is the first LCSW to join the Psychiatry team at the hospital. Major also serves as a psychotherapist with Spring Health.

Major serves as a member of the Behavioral Health and Planning Advisory Board for the state of Nevada, is a member of Council on Social Work Education Board of Directors, (CSWE), and the Director for Northern Nevada Region for Nevada NASW Chapter.
