NASW's governance structure is designed to ensure that the organization
is responsive to the needs of our members and the profession. The NASW
Board of Directors is the governing body of the Association, and it is
responsible for setting policy and overseeing the organization's
operations.
The NASW Bylaws outline the structure and responsibilities
of the Board of Directors, as well as the procedures for electing and
removing directors. The NASW also has a number of national committees
that advise the Board of Directors on a variety of issues. These
committees are made up of NASW members who volunteer their time to
represent the interests of the profession.
