Director, MSW Student
Emonie Robinson
Emonie Robinson, a human rights advocate, is pursuing a MSW at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. Robinson’s advocacy journey began at Chabot College as a transfer student, where she emerged as a student leader. During her transformative undergraduate
years at UCLA, Robinson served as the Afrikan Student Union transfer coordinator and
community college partnerships mentor. In these roles, she advocated for foster youth, Black
transfer students, individuals impacted by systemic challenges, undocumented students, and
nontraditional students pursuing higher education. Robinson’s dedication to human rights fuels her academic pursuits, with aspirations to earn a doctoral degree. Currently, Robinson is an MSW intern with Foster Nation, a non-profit organization, where she provides support to former foster youth. She remains committed to actively participating in initiatives that fortify community organizations, specifically addressing systemic barriers for underserved populations.
