Don’t forget to cast your vote in the 2016 NASW National Election—Voting open April 4-May 27


Vote for your favorite candidates for the NASW national board of directors and the National Committee on Nominations & Leadership Identification. Voting begins April 4 and ends May 27 at 8:30 p.m., EST. Voting is entirely electronic. Candidates’ information, including bios and platform statements, is posted on NASW’s website at www.socialworkers.org. Members must hold NASW membership in good standing and have a current email address in order to submit a vote. For inquiries, contact the NASW Office of Governance via e-mail.


Comment period open through April 28 on proposed bylaws amendments


The first set of proposed amendments to the NASW Bylaws that are directly related to the modernization and revitalization plan were presented to the NASW board at its January 2016 meeting. The board approved posting the proposed amendments for member review and comment. The proposed amendments are related to Articles XII – Chapters; XIII – National Staff; and XVI – Dues and Other Income. The deadline for submitting comments is 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time on April 28.
