A news article about the Council on Social Work Education hosting a White House briefing, which ran in the November 2013 issue of the News, should have said that health care enrollment under the ACA ends March 31.

 

Foundation fellowships, scholarships and research awards

Taxes and Membership Dues Deductibility


Members who qualify to deduct membership dues payments from income taxes should note the following: For the calendar year ending Dec. 31, 2013, 17.14 percent of the annual NASW dues payment is not deductible. The percentage is based on the amount of association lobbying activity in 2013.

 

Delegate Assembly Revised Policy Statements


The second round of public policy statements currently being revised by the NASW Delegate Assembly will be posted on the Delegate Assembly website, for member review and comment from Feb. 28 to March 28.
