MAJOR FUNCTIONS: Responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer (COO) with confidential materials in the planning, direction and execution of business operations for the Association. Assists the COO in ensuring that activities, services, and products of the Association are executed in an efficient, cost-effective manner while achieving the highest level of visibility and business development possible for the organization. Assists the COO in leading cross-departmental projects with a primary focus on increasing operational effectiveness. Conducts workflow and business process analysis, identifying actions to improve operational results. Assists COO in accounting and budget administration functions. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree; Master’s in Social Work, Business Administration or related field preferred. Requires knowledge of business process and workflow analysis and the ability to document workflow.
  • Requires 3 - 5 years of prior related work experience, preferably in an association management environment or nonprofit setting.
  • Requires demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams and skill in problem-solving complex issues across a variety of functional areas.
  • Requires strong interpersonal, analytical, quantitative, organizational, budget and project management skills.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively at the executive level.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information and files.
