So You Want To Be A Delegate?

[Click here to start the presentation]

A member from your chapter’s Committee on Nominations and Leadership Identification has asked if you would be interested in being a candidate for a Delegate Assembly delegate position on the chapter’s election ballot. Or, perhaps you’ve just been elected chapter president-elect, but have never attended the national Delegate Assembly. This tutorial is designed to give you a basic overview of the purpose of Delegate Assembly and the role and responsibilities for delegates before, during and after the Assembly. Locating this tutorial on the NASW Web site should already give you confidence about being a delegate since most of the Delegate Assembly information, tutorials, and proposed policy statements’ review and discussion will happen right here.

If you have more questions after viewing this presentation, please contact your chapter’s executive director or Chapter Services at the National Office.
